The 2018 Analysis of Environmental Impact Assessment and decision support project was contracted to the IER by the Environmental Protection Administration to assist the EIA committee’s reviewing process in data collection and analysis, and to provide topic reports. The purposes of the project included the shortening of EIA review process and the simplification of administrative operation. The project team assisted completing the following works: 1) the appointment of specialists, 2) monthly progress reports in data collection and synthesis. The project team assisted in 16 topics regarding the EIA consultation and data collection and synthesis, including 46 cases of third-party review opinions, 14 cases of legal consultation, and 116 cases of fuzzy text screening process.
